DESIGN
Janusz Różanski
born 1921 in Posen, Poland. In 1957 he graduated from the Faculty of Interior Design at the Poznań Art Academy.
Just one year later, he joined the furniture industry, where he quickly got a managerial position. In 1965 he took the lead in the newly formed but influential Center for Furniture Development (CORM or OBROM) which sought new solutions for the furniture industry, particularly through research, investigation, introduction and optimization of innovative designs, constructions, materials and surface treatment.
Różański was a multiple winner of design competitions and was honored with the highest state awards. He left behind a diverse body of work and left a lasting mark on the Polish furniture industry.
