MORE INFO

A stool that fits all needs and wants, be it use focused upon form, functionality, comfort, or durability. The two sides of the seating base are angled 10 degrees towards each other, a unique design feature that facilitates surprising comfort for a stool and makes this an ideal choice for extra seating.

The leather band underneath the seat with a supporting brass rod gives the stool its final touch of each detail and a prominent form.

The piece is foldable to minimize space and can be stored on a wall mounting as the product includes a solid brass hook.

In all, a very durable item because of its solid wood and strong side beams. Comes in oak and black-stained oak.

DESIGN

Herman Studio was founded in 2012 by two architects, Helle Herman Mortensen and Jonas Herman Pedersen. Their work spans from textile, ceramics, lighting and furniture design to interior design. A characteristic feature of their design is their focus on the objects’ contours. By working with a distinctive outline for each object, the craftsmanship allows the design to stand out whilst remaining simple and readily recognizable. Their great passion for design and their appreciation of aesthetic principles are complementary to their use of traditional materials and methods. They work in an iterative process between sketches, models and prototypes. Their design process begins with the detailed study of construction methods, an approach that plays a central role throughout the design process. The workshop is therefore an essential part of their studio.
